Pictured above: shields lake, is located in byrd park and is owned by the city of richmond with many picnic and handicap accessible areas. although this 7-acre lake doesn't permit boats, it allows anglers to access the shoreline.. I love this park. tennis courts, paddle boats, fitness trails, mountain bike trails, ponds, and nature to name a few things there. it is usually well maintained with ample parking..
