Last time i was there, some redneck brethren were running up and down the bayou, drinking beer and using the bottles for skeet shooting. one time on the east side of 2004, we were fishing and began getting peppered by bird shot from dove hunters. as stated, the launch right on 2004 is riskier than the stock market is right now.. I fish there from my boat. redfish can be caught from the launch so you don't really need to paddle all the way to west bay or hall's lake to catch fish. it's miles upon miles of grasslines. i think the best bet for launching is from the marina, not the free launch right next to it.. I meet up with a new fishing friend at the boat ramp of halls bayou friday morning 10/10/2014. things did not start out very well for us either..

Included in our park system are 10 parks, 23 miles of sandy beaches, 21 boat ramps, 2 rv campgrounds, historical homes, interpretive centers, day use facilities, playgrounds, a swimming pool, horseshoe and volleyball pits, and picnic areas..
